Position Summary:
The Director of Elementary Learning (“Director”) shares in the following responsibilities: instructional leadership of the school and shared administrative and supervisory responsibility of the school/building. As a leader in the organization it is essential to relate the educational objectives of the school to instructional practices that yield the highest standards of student achievement, instructional excellence, community support, and school morale. In addition, the Director supports every student graduating from the university, contributing to their community, and competing globally.
The Director of Elementary Learning will provide leadership and vision in the ongoing planning, implementation, development, direction, review and evaluation of the teaching and learning at ASU Prep South Phoenix-PCA. The Director will ensure that organizational systems and academic programs are established to ensure that the school education objectives are aligned to state frameworks and to instructional practices that yield the highest standards of student achievement and instructional excellence.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field required; Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of proven, successful experience as a classroom teacher with qualified content expertise.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a leadership role.
- Participates in a continuing professional development program, maintaining a high level of competence in the field of education.
- Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
