Taxable Property Researcher/Inspector - Auditor’s Office - $14.91 hr
Under limited supervision, determines the taxability of properties, using methods such as field inspection. The administration functions include researching, inspecting and presenting recommendations for action. Serves as a subject matter expert in regards to ensuring that all personal property is being properly taxed in accordance with South Carolina Code of Law and Beaufort County.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma; college degree in Business Administration preferred; Two (2) years of experience involving research, analyzing information and analytical thinking; Excellent customer service and communication skills, including the ability to understand and explain the basic terms of state and local laws; Working knowledge of office technology and computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office products; Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
Sr. Librarian Youth Services Manager - $49,337.00 annually
Under minimal supervision by the Branch Manager and in coordination with the Youth Services Coordinator, plans, implements and manages a comprehensive program of library service to children, their caregivers and teens. Provides support to those working with children and teens; monitors the quality and effectiveness of existing programs and practices; trains, supervises, schedules and evaluates children’s services staff. Works evenings and weekends as needed. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited program; Three (3) years public service experience in a public library with relevant coursework; Previous management/supervisory experience strongly preferred; Eligibility for South Carolina Public Library Certification; Valid driver’s license
Stormwater Utility Inspector - $22.26 hr
Performs technical work involving inspection of stormwater management systems for compliance with Beaufort County stormwater management regulations and MS4 permitting requirements, implements countywide stormwater monitoring program, and assists the Stormwater Utility Inspection Manager capital project implementation related to stormwater. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Associate Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related scientific (Biology or Chemistry) field from an accredited college or university. Bachelor’s Degree preferred; At least two years experience/training; Prefer experience in stormwater management, project management, drainage and BMP construction, hydraulic modeling and water quality monitoring; Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license; Certified Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control Inspector (CEPSCI), Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (COESC) Certified Erosion, Sediment and Storm Water Inspector (CESSWI), Certified Stormwater Inspector (CSI), Certified Stormwater Plan Reviewer (CSPR) or equivalent program certification is preferred.
Drop-off Center Attendant/Solid Waste & Recycling - $10.04 hr
Will monitor the disposal of solid waste materials and assist patrons at drop-off center. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Tenth (10th) grade education; Must be at least 18 years of age; Excellent communication and customer service skills; Some record keeping experience; Able to work outside in all weather conditions; Available for weekends and holidays (approximately 28 hrs a week); Provide own transportation; Basic reading, comprehension and math skills required.
