Clara City Senior Living campus is looking for a Payroll/Human Resource Clerk. It requires an enthusiastic person who is detail oriented and able to handle all situations professionally while up holding all laws and regulations. This position is full-time with a comprehensive benefits package including employer paid medical, retirement pension (PERA), paid holidays, vacation and sick leave. Work hours are Monday-Friday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administer payroll processing for employees on a bi-weekly basis. Ensure wages are paid timely and accurately within federal and state regulations.
- Process miscellaneous payroll items, including garnishments, pay rate increases, W-4 changes, direct deposit set up, deductions, PERA contributions, etc.
- Benefit administration, including eligibility meetings, open enrollment, data entry, answering questions.
- File and monitor all workers compensation claims, ensuring employee is receiving quick and adequate medical attention striving to maintain zero-time loss. The goal is to limit any absences, reduce medical costs, resulting in control of workers compensation premiums.
- Respond to notifications from state agency regarding unemployment claims filed.
- Maintain current regulatory records such as OSHA year end reporting.
- Manage recruiting process such as screening applicant and conducting orientations for new hires to ensure the employment process is a positive experience.
- Administer and process leave of absence approvals and rejections. Track hours taken for leave to meet FMLA regulations.
Experience:
- Two years payroll experience preferred.
