Coastal Carolina University seeks candidates for the following position:
- Access Services Specialist, Evenings
Duties include, but are not be limited to: performing and assisting in overseeing the operations of the access services department including reference, circulation, Interlibrary Loan; assisting with management of the library facility; providing informational and technical assistance to library users and supervising and training students and staff; providing exceptional customer service to all constituents including but not limited to faculty, staff, students, visitors, and the community at large; and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and three (3) years library or customer service experience are required. Equivalent education, training, and experience will be considered. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience working in academic library; experience with library 2.0 technologies, Interlibrary Loan, Reserves, Reference and Circulation; supervisory experience; and experience working non-traditional hours are also preferred. A successful candidate must possess the ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends; ability to respond appropriately to a wide variety of situations and enforce emergency procedures if necessary; computer and technology skills; strong communication and collaboration skills; and the ability to use good judgment and make appropriate decisions.
