Administrative Assistant
Coastal Carolina University is accepting applications for the following position: Administrative Assistant (Administrative Assistant – AA75) in the Center for Global Engagement.
Serving as a part of a dynamic team supporting campus internationalization initiatives, this colleague will serve as a core part of a Center for Global Engagement team. This colleague will be responsible for managing processes associated with contracts, billing, travel support, procurement interaction, budgetary reporting in support of institutional policies. Reporting to the Associate Provost for Global Initiatives and working to support the Center for Global Engagement (CGE) team, this colleague will interact with CCU’s growing population of international students, students and faculty participating in our increasing range of study abroad programs, and international visitors who come to Coastal Carolina University. The position will coordinate international visitors’ schedules and work with CGE staff to support events in support of the CGE’s mission and the strategic plan of the University. The colleague will be responsible for managing with our international scholarship program administration process and supporting our faculty teaching abroad at partner institutions, as well as developing effective working relationships with partners on and off campus and abroad.
Required qualifications: High school diploma and at least one year of related experience. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the related work experience. The position requires advanced knowledge and skills in working to create and amend documents in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, with some experience in website utilization/maintenance; exceptional oral and written skills; exemplary evidence of strong organizational skills; demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a high pressure environment.
Preferred qualifications: Associate’s degree or more advanced degree and at least three (3) years of administrative support experience or equivalent education, training and experience. Preferred knowledge and skills include successful experience working in an a setting involving international cooperation, coordination, and communication and knowledge of state higher education policies, procedures, and regulations.
