Administrative Specialist II

Coastal Carolina University seeks applications for the position of Administrative Specialist (Administrative Specialist II) in the Office of the Registrar.

Duties will include, but are not limited to: receiving all office guests/customers and phone calls; responding to student, faculty and staff requests for academic information; processing records and registration transactions; word processing, data entry/retrieval and filing; and providing administrative support to the Administrative Assistant and the Office of the Registrar. Applicant must have exceptional ability to communicate effectively and must present a positive and helpful demeanor in providing assistance to all students, faculty, staff, administrators and visitors.

Requirements: High school diploma and two (2) years of relevant job experience. Equivalent education, training, and experience may be considered. Associates degree is preferred. A successful candidate should possess excellent language/grammar usage, both written and spoken; possess excellent communication skills; must have effective interpersonal skills; must have experience in computer usage and word processing software; possess good knowledge of general office equipment; and the ability to effectively handle multiple concurrent tasks.

State Pay Band: 03. Primary work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Must be flexible to meet special scheduling needs of the University.

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma and Two (2) years of relevant job experience. Equivalent education, training, and experience will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associates degree is preferred.
