Administrative SpecialistCoastal Carolina University
Coastal Carolina University is seeking candidates for the position of Administrative Specialist (full time, annual appointment position with benefits). The position provides administrative support to the Payroll Department.
Duties include, but are not be limited to: entering W-4 and Direct Deposit information, scanning all personnel file information into a document imaging system, ensuring that payroll records are kept up to date and in compliance with state regulations on record retention/destruction; performing various administrative duties such as, answering phone calls/questions, ordering supplies, registering for conferences, and scheduling meetings; providing exceptional customer service to all constituents, including but not limited to, faculty, staff, students, visitors and the community at large; and performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a minimum of two (2) years administrative support related work experience are required. Previous experience in higher education is preferred. Successful candidates should also possess proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook; ability to self-start and work independently in implementing administrative procedures; efficient and accurate file management and record-keeping skills; and effective oral and written communication skills. Position requires the ability to work with students, faculty and staff along with the public with discretion and good judgment in applying departmental policy and procedures.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Normal work hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Must be flexible to meet special scheduling needs of the University.
