Golf Course Groundskeeper
Coastal Carolina University seeks candidates for the following position:
Golf Course Groundskeeper in Sports Turf & Golf Course Operations
Duties include, but are not limited to: performing a wide variety of tasks related to the maintenance, and upkeep of the golf course. Some of the duties include golf course setup, properly mowing, edging, and trimming lawns with appropriate tools and with the safety knowledge to operate commercial mowing equipment in a busy campus setting by following accepted industry standards and procedures.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and some experience with grounds keeping are required.
About The Golf Course:
The General James Hackler Course at Coastal Carolina University is owned and operated by Coastal Carolina University and the University’s PGA Golf Management Program. The 6,812 yard, par 72 course is located adjacent to the University and just a short drive from the beach. The clubhouse has a fully stocked golf shop with officially licensed Chanticleer apparel and a grill with a wide variety of breakfast and lunch entrees. The practice facility offers an all grass driving range, a 10,000 square foot putting green, a practice bunker, a learning center with V-1 and Trackman, a 3-hole short course, and a newly opened short game practice area.
The PGA Golf Management Program (PGM) is a part of the Wall College of Business and has been accredited by the PGA of America since 1999. There are currently 220 students in the Coastal Carolina PGM program who are seeking undergraduate degrees in Business Administration while completing all the of PGA’s membership requirements.
