COASTAL CAROLINA UNIVERSITY seeks candidates for the following position: IT PROJECT MANAGER 

Under the supervision of the Resource Management and Administration/CITO office, the IT Project Manager assists with the development, planning and implementation of approved IT change, project, and process management improvement measures for the Office of Information Technology Services. Position assists with and performs review of processes and procedures as well as evaluate implementation of changes to make adjustments/improvements where necessary. The IT Project Manager also provides support for data warehousing and business intelligence. The IT Project Manager also performs, plans and executes assigned and approved IT projects while coordinating among IT staff/managers and other departments to ensure completion of projects with strict deadlines within budget. Provides IT training for the ITS unit and University Stakeholders.

Duties include, but are not limited to: assists with the evaluation, development, planning, and implementation of approved IT change, project, and process management improvement measures for ITS; provides support for data warehousing and business intelligence; in collaboration with IT resource management, other IT units and CITO, addresses non-routine issues that arise; manages the various activities of assigned and approved IT projects (including infrastructure projects), standards, and procedures, including requirements, risks, RFP assistance, cost estimates, correspondence, and project lifecycle deployment; performs team project post-audits and evaluations; assists with the development and maintenance of ITS operational procedures and standards as well as change management processes in alignment and collaboration with ITS goals and objectives to advance the University mission; demonstrates leadership to define requirements for project risks; designs, maintains, and updates technical documentation; helps develop Requests for Proposals to submit to the Resource Management and Administration/CITO office; provides training to faculty and staff on established IT solutions, including but not limited to solutions such as Microsoft Office, project management and resource management; serves as a backup project manager liaison for the facilities department and other departments as assigned; provides exceptional customer service to all constituents, including but not limited to, faculty, staff, students, visitors and the community at large; performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field required. Three (3) years of experience in project management in Information Technology or technical support fields and System Administration and Web development skills and knowledge also required. Network, infrastructure, and data center experience preferred. PMP certification also preferred. A successful candidate must possess project management skills; demonstrated supervisory and time management skills; and excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills. Additionally, a successful candidate must possess the ability to work well in an academic environment; must have strong oral and written and communication skills; sound problem solving skills; knowledge of common enterprise IT solutions and trends; technical knowledge and understanding of end-user applications and operating systems; Web development skills and experience; and network and data center knowledge.
