Media Relations Coordinator
Coastal Carolina University seeks candidates for the following positions
Media Relations Coordinator
Duties will include, but are not limited to: greeting students that present for health services; providing accurate information regarding SC immunization requirements and services; receiving, reviewing and processing immunization forms; maintaining a filling system for immunization documents; scheduling patient appointments; tracking immunization compliance; conducting patient check in/out; balancing a cash drawer; demonstrating a professional attitude that is sensitive to the college age population; communicating appropriately with other departments; assisting with answering incoming telephone calls; assembling and initiating medical records for all new patients; assisting with filing all medical records; locating and retrieving medical records efficiently; reviewing medical records for accuracy prior to filing; working when scheduled; and performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements: A bachelor’s degree and related experience are required. Experience in news, public relations, or marketing is preferred. A successful candidate should possess excellent and proven writing, proofreading and editing skills; must possess and demonstrate extensive knowledge in media relations and public relations and incorporate sound journalistic principles for the development and dissemination of information in traditional and emerging technological forms; have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the media, general public and campus community; translate technical material to language which is comprehensive to the general public; possess the ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines; and serve as an effective team member in the division and university.
