Program Assistant
Coastal Carolina University seeks candidates for the following position:
- Program Assistant
Duties include, but are not limited to: performing administrative duties necessary to support the Dyer Institute in the smooth, efficient running of the institute’s programs/initiatives; making arrangements for the institute’s programs; planning and coordinating publicity for the institute; keeping the institute’s budget updated; preparing and processing paperwork related to budget, facilities, and event planning; designing and updating the institute’s website and social media sites; collaborating with the Dyer Fellows in facilitating programs and projects; maintaining the records of the Dyer Institute; overseeing the application process for the Dyer Fellowships; serving as mentor to each annual cohort of fellowship students; seeking out and managing at least three public policy projects per year; and speaking on behalf of and representing the Institute at community and/or campus meetings, presentations and public functions.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required. A degree in public policy or political science desired. Experience in state agencies, community foundations, non-profits, or with outreach programming is preferred. Successful candidate must possess excellent writing and interpersonal skills.
