Job Purpose
The Office Manager for the College of Charleston Upward Bound program is responsible for the day-to-day clerical and administrative support for the program. This employee provides administrative support for a team of full and part-time personnel. Under limited supervision, coordinates routine and special
projects required for the successful completion of program goals and objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma; some college preferred, and three years administrative/secretarial experience. Bachelors Degree given preference, may be substituted for work experience for the right candidate
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
High functioning knowledge of Windows 7 or above, and
Microsoft Office: especially Word, Excel, Publisher and Outlook. Knowledge of /experience with Blumen software data program a strong plus. Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be able to multitask and prioritize in a quick, efficient manner.
Ability to establish good rapport with various segments of the college, the general public and the communities and schools targeted by the grant. Must be willing and able to work select weekends and travel occasionally. During annual performance reports and grant renewals overtime is often required.
Ability to problem-solve and manage a wide range of issues.
Ability to bend, stoop and lift up to 30 pounds, particularly for supply deliveries. Ability to walk about campus for various administrative duties.

**Salary is commensurate with education/experience which exceeds the minimum requirements.
