The Business Affairs division has an exciting opportunity available with their team! The Print Shop Technician functions as a liaison between production and the customer once a job has entered the print department. If there are any questions or problems concerning a print job, the Print Shop Technician must be able to communicate fluently with the customer and understand the customer's needs. They must also be able to assist the College's graphic designer with basic design creation, proof reading and correction and product layout for print.
Minimum Requirements: - High school diploma and two (2) years' work experience in operating bindery, wide format, and digital machines.
Preferred: Associate Degree in Graphic Arts Design; two (2) years of experience in a print production environment and two (2) years of experience as a Customer Service.
- Knowledge of layout, design and printing techniques, methods and equipment. Skill in operating and repairing complex printing and finishing equipment.
- Ability to schedule and direct printing production operations.
- Knowledge of various computer software used in printing operations; specifically, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to read a ruler and understand decimals; Working knowledge of point-of-sales system; Cashiering and cash drawer procedures.
