Technical Specialist I – Stress Analyst (Savannah, GA) Perform structural engg tasks; including but not lmtd to: stress anlyss of airfrm w/in depth knowldg of finite elemnt methds, sftwr app dvlpmnt in supprt of structural anlyss & training of new engs in methods & procedures. Reqs: Bachelor's in Mech, Civil, Automtv or Aerospace Engg +5 yrs exp performng stress anlyss of primary & secondary aircrft structures of metallic & composite constructn using finite elemnt methods & classical hand anlyss; 5 yrs internl loads exp w/demonstrtd ability to troubleshoot & resolve internl/externl loads discrepancies; 5 yrs finite elemnt exp using MSC Nastran, Patran, Apex, HyperWorks suite & Abaqus; 5 yrs exp using Catia V5 & SmarTeam; 5 yrs of app dvlpmnt using Python, Unix & VBA to aid stress anlyss; 5 yrs demonstrtd collab w/Mnfctrng, Productn, Externl Loads & Dsgn groups for solving complx engg issues; 2 yrs exp using coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian formulatn & smooth particle hydrodynamics either using Abaqus or Radioss; 1 yr Microsoft Sharepoint exp w/site owner level training; In lieu of bachelor's +5 yrs exp, will accept Master's in above listed fields +3 yrs exp as stated or PhD in above listed fields +1 yr exp as stated.
