JOB SUMMARY:
This position performs a variety of technical tasks and duties related to the processing of certificated and classified employee records using the District’s Human Resources Information System. The position requires learning basic information about the database structure, tables and codes to ensure the proper and accurate processing and storage of data. The HRIS Analyst:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Enters and maintains employee demographic information, pay assignment data, credentialing data, evaluation records and related information.
- Places certificated employees on the salary schedule based on analysis of education and experience.
- Issues employment contracts, ensures that employees have all necessary credentials, and records credit and clock hours for salary placement purposes.
- Extracts and manipulates data for internal and state reporting requirements.
- Transmits data to payroll for pay purposes in an accurate and timely manner.
- Maintains current knowledge of WACs and regulations related to teaching assignments and salary compliance.
- Verifies and audits records for accuracy and adequacy.
- Assists in placing classified employees on salary schedules based on established protocols and provisions of bargained agreements, and processes all additional compensation, including additional hourly pay, and extra duty, activity and athletic stipends and pay assignments.
- Provides information for Labor Relations policy development and implementation through data retrieval and analysis, and assists other analysts with the preparation and submittal of required state reports.
- Processes employment verifications and generates a variety of correspondence, including employment, assignment and salary verification letters.
- Collects, checks, logs, and files various personnel records.
- Responds to client requests for data in person, on the telephone, and via e-mail communication.
- Performs other related duties consistent with the job description and employee assignment.
EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION:
Salary: NNRAP Professional-Technical Salary Schedule Level V - $76,299 - $80,161 per year; additional stipend for MA/CPA or PhD degree or certification
Work Year: 8 hours per day, 260 days per year

QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful applicant for this position will typically have completed post-secondary coursework in accounting, business administration, computer science or related fields, demonstrated analytical skills and computer proficiency using complex database programs, and recent work experience where data entry, problem-solving skills, and applied analytical skills were necessary. A bachelor of arts or sciences in a relevant field is highly desirable.

- Skill in performing arithmetic and mathematical calculations accurately
- Ability to learn report-writing tools
- Knowledge of general business, payroll, and human resources terms and procedures
- Ability to read, understand, and apply complex rules and regulations
- Skill in writing business correspondence using correct grammar, spelling and punctuation
- Knowledge of office procedures
- Ability to maintain confidential information and records
- Skill in organizing and setting priorities based on organizational goals
- Ability to attend to detail and accuracy, and follow tasks through to completion
- Ability to remain flexible and work effectively under pressure
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in an office environment; frequent interruptions; exposure to visual display terminal, heavy computerized data entry; may have to sit for prolonged periods of time; monitors and collects documents with inflexible deadlines; must be willing to work overtime during peak times of the year.

UPON HIRE:
