Fireworks Retail Manager
The Phantom Fireworks showroom in Myrtle Beach, SC is looking to add to its management team! Must be at least 18 and able to pass a criminal and credit background check. Seasonal demands require extended hours during peak selling season. Must have open availability for July 4 and New Year holidays. Must have at least 2 years retail management experience. Warehouse and inventory experience a plus.
Manager's/Assistant Manager's Responsibilities:
Showroom Operations
-Maintain a safe and clean working environment at all times
-Keep showroom fully stocked and presentable at all times -Scheduling of employees
-Interview, hire and train employees in all aspects of their designated tasks (i.e. stocking, inventory, cash management, front-end, etc.)
-Ensure sure that employees are made aware of showroom and corporate policies and any infractions are documented and reported
-Have a mastery understanding of POS system, both front and back end, and back end ordering and inventory system
-Inspect rental equipment (generators, trailers/containers for safety and efficiency)
Accounting
-Maintain accurate register till from start to end of shift
-Account for all monies at the close of business each day, transmit information to corporate
-Weekly reconciliation all banking deposits and showroom expenses and petty cash
-Weekly reconciliation of showroom's payroll, transmit information to corporate
-Track showroom expenses to assist in the budget process Inventory
-Maintain a sufficient inventory to facilitate showroom operations
-Keep accurate inventory at all times through employee training, weekly cycle counts and semi-annual physical inventory
-Work with inventory department at corporate to identify any inventory discrepancies Security
-Oversee all aspects of showroom security -Train hired security officers/policemen on corporate security policies to ensure safety during peak season
-Immediately identify any potential security threats to the premises (i.e. burned out lights, damaged fencing, suspicious activity, etc.)
-Review DVR and camera settings to ensure proper coverage retention of footage (where applicable)
-Check any exterior, temporary or off-site storage for proper locking mechanisms, alarm contacts or any other signs of intrusion Advertising
-Check print media proofs for proper directional and local information
-Check all billboards monthly for accuracy and obstructions
-Notify proper corporate contact of any local advertising or goodwill opportunities
-Keep track of local advertising and goodwill donations for assistance in the budget process
