Major Gift Officer

The Major Gift Officer will play a vital role in the outreach operations of the Upstate Medical Alumni Foundation office. The incumbent will be responsible for helping donors accomplish their philanthropic goals for the Norton College of Medicine through a relationship with the Medical Alumni Foundation. This will be accomplished by securing major gifts at the $5,000 to $25,000 level. We’re looking for candidates with track records of success in raising minimum $250,000/ preferred $500,000 contributed funds annually. Additionally, this position will be responsible for managing a prospect portfolio of minimum 75 / preferred 150 donors and prospects. To do so, interpersonal skills will be pivotal along with maintaining positive relationships with all Foundation staff members with coordinating annual giving, donor relations, and other planned giving to maximize donor relationships and giving to the Medical Alumni Foundation. Additionally, the incumbent will participate in a full range of the Medical Alumni Foundation's development activities including but not limited to strategy development, goal setting, staff meetings and events.
