Manual Welder
Manual Welder 1st and 2nd shift.
This is a temporary to hire position.
To include but not limited to: The duties of the welding department is to weld steel components using state of the art welding equipment. Must be able to read and interpret drawings and work instructions, welding a variety of components based on production requirements.
Skill Level:
To include but not limited to: Prefer 1 year of Mig or Tig welding experience. Must be able to work in a production environment using state of the art welding equipment.
Duties:
To include but not limited to: Weld frames and repair Metal Bus Seat Frames. Pull and drag frames to another location once repairs are done. Lift frames to be hung on conveyor. Remove frames from conveyor. Inspect frames and check basic quality. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Utilize check off sheet to assure basic quality of work. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Physical Requirements:
To include but not limited to: Must be able to stand the entire shift, with the exception of break times. Substantial lifting (up to 50 lbs repetitively), bending, stooping, twisting and repetitive action. Repetitive motion of hands. Be around moving equipment. Overtime is a requirement based on production schedules. Will be exposed to dust from textiles and fumes from paint and welding area, all within OSHA standards. Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with marked changes in temperature and humidity. Must be medically qualified to wear a respirator the entire shift.
