Three Rivers Education Foundation was awarded a $5M five-year grant to recruit highly qualified individuals into the teaching force. This grant opportunity provides individuals possessing a BA degree with no prior teaching experience a $45,000 one-year living wage residency experience while they complete an online Master's of Education degree program at ENMU. Participants receive intensive, focused professional development, coaching, mentoring, and job-embedded training. These individuals agree to work full-time as a math, science, or special education teacher in a 3RIVTQP affiliated high-need school for a period of three years immediately after successfully completing the residency. Requirements: Possess a B.A. or B.S. with a minimum 3.0 GPA; Have a clear background check; Secondary math or science candidates must have a minimum of 12 hours of graduate credit or 30 hours of undergraduate credit (12 hours upper division) in a subject matter area that qualifies for an endorsement on a teaching license; Special education candidates must have 30 hours general education composite; Pass the National Essential Skills Tests, Sub-tests I, II, and III; and Be willing to work in one of the following partnering school districts: Bloomfield, Central Consolidated, Clovis, Cuba, Farmington, or Taos.
