The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking applications for a Faculty Personnel & College Budget Manager for the College of Health & Human Services. This is a full-time, permanent staff position.
Purpose of the Position: This position will serve as a Business Officer for the College of Health and Human Services and as a financial resource for the Dean, Chairs, Directors, Business Office Team, Unit Administrative Assistants/Specialist, and faculty in the College. This position is responsible for the administration, oversight, and management of general and non-general funds, and reporting to Academic Affairs. This position also provides support for faculty recruitment and position management. This position serves as a subject-matter expert on University policies and procedures position works closely with the College Business Officer.
Salary: $49,514 - $55,016
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or related business area; or a two-year degree and two years of administrative, business, or financial management experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Essential Job Duties:
The Business Officer is a member of the Business Office Team within the College of Health and Human Services alongside the CHHS Business Officer and two Business Services Coordinators. This role provides direct Unit-level budget management, College-level budget allocation management and faculty recruitment support. This role works directly with the Dean, Unit Heads, Unit-level staff, and faculty to instruct, guide and ensure College and University processes and policies are upheld. Responsibilities also include: managing and performing daily operational procedures, processes and approvals; reconciling and analyzing financial data; completing various reporting requests from Internal and External constituents (including Academic Affairs); and identifying, presenting, and implementing process improvements. This role requires a high level of organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively and efficiently, resourcefulness, the ability to problem-solve, and a high level of professionalism and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: A four-year degree in a related business field and one year of experience in accounts reconciliation, budgeting, business processing, office management, or human resources. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Work history in higher education with finance and faculty personnel including reconciling, tracking and troubleshooting financial discrepancies. Excellent organizational, and written and verbal communication skills. Experience using University systems – Banner Finance, 49er Mart, eGA, and Malibu (companion system), Niner Talent.
