Department Description: School of Medicine IT is the centralized Information Technology group within the School of Medicine. It is the
main interface with UNC Information Technology Services department and consists of the following units: Client
Services and Support, Information Security and Privacy, Academic Technology, Research IT, and Infrastructure
and Operations. School of Medicine IT provides centralized computer services and information system
resources for the entire School of Medicine community, from medical students to faculty to staff. The School of
Medicine consists of 9000+ employees. Services provided include applications support for administrative,
clinical, and research development, walk-in, deskside, and remote support, resources supporting research
activities, and support for network access to resources available on campus and the Internet. School of
Medicine IT also provides extensive web/graphics development and support, and the development of numerous
web-based database projects. Other services include information Security, a variety of digital media services
including video conferencing, support of classroom video systems, and video recording, production and editing.

Position Discription: The Student Systems Analyst will work with a dedicated technical team in support of the educational mission of
UNC School of Medicine (SOM). The primary function of the Student Systems Support team is to deliver
technical support services for student information & administration systems for SOM educational programs. The
Student Systems Analyst will support a wide range of Student Systems applications. In-scope systems include
but are not limited to our curriculum management, evaluation, and clinical scheduling system one45, our
admissions platform Slate, and our Student Success and advising application Navigate. We are looking for a

While experience with these tools or similar tools is preferred, In depth training on these specific applications will be provided.

Education Requirements: Master’s or Bachelors and 0-2 years’ experience; or will accept a combination of related education and experience in substitution.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Direct experience supporting administrative student software systems
- Experience with technical environments in support of Higher Education, or Health Sciences
- Survey design and administration
- Basic programming/database knowledge
- Experience integrating systems and data using API and ETL technologies
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI
- Project Management experience
- Experience with Project and Work Management tools
- Experience with IT Service Management systems
- Basic knowledge of statistics, data, and reporting
- Consultancy skills
- Presentation skills
