Description
Leads development, management, and communication of the private brand business. Establishes Wells as preferred private brand partner. Delivers annual revenue and financial objectives, as well as JBP goals. Understands both customers and Wells strategic priorities and develops plans to deliver mutual success and long-range partnership.
Other Responsibilities Include:
- Manages product lifecycle from ideation to commercialization, developing strong partnership with Great Value Product Managers and Sr. Buyer, and leading product development with cross-functional internal partners.
- Leads internal partners to deliver best in class product. Deals with ambiguity, and provides clarity to internal partners to ensure Wells effectively delivers on GV’s pillars: “Maniacal on Cost, Fanatical on Quality, New Ways of Working”
- Manages customer expectations and contributes to a high level of customer satisfaction. Establishes self as the technical expert for GV product development, with knowledge of product development end to end.
- Actively identifies and supports private brand NPD, QI, and CI initiatives. Understands objectives and financial goals of each project. Tracks team against progress and develops contingency plans. Leads RFP process. Demonstrates strong project management skills.
- Understands market trends and builds business cases utilizing Syndicated Data, Retail Link and industry insights.
- Analyzes brand results to accurately forecast volume as well as identify necessary adjustments to drive performance.
- Extensive working knowledge of Retail Link, Microsoft Office, Shiloh or similar data applications, Syndicated Data.
- Financial acumen (P&L and forecasting). Effective communication skills. Experience leveraging data to identify customer opportunities. Ability to deal with ambiguity and conflicting priorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field required.
- 7+ years experience in business development and working directly with customers. Proven performance in leading and influencing cross-functional teams preferred
- 25% travel, primarily to Le Mars, IA
