PSA Director
Job Status: Full Time
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: 40 hours a week
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following (though other duties may be assigned as applicable):
- Research and publish the on-air community calendars
- Write, produce, and perform on-air script of dates and details of community events
- Communicate with internal departments regarding community event calendar updates
- Research, select, and refresh (if needed) PSAs into the traffic systems and provide necessary information to traffic control
- Produce PSAs for local non-profit organizations to promote themselves or an event to include meeting with the client, development of a script, managing the shoot of video/audio, creating production script, and entering the traffic information in wide orbit
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Communications, Broadcast Journalism or related multi-media field. – Required
- Experience in researching and posting digital media content - Required
- Fluency in English - Required
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to ad lib when required. - Required
- Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment -Required
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously - - Required
- Knowledge of Ohio and Midwest markets - Preferred
- Prior on-camera and/or voice over experience – Preferred
Hometown Stations is looking for a PSA Director to research, write, produce and perform on-air script of dates and details on community event updates for local non-profit organizations to promote themselves. This position would also manage shoots of video/audio, meet with the client, work with internal departments regarding upcoming events and enter traffic information into Wide Orbit. DMV records and drug testing is necessary.
